Letter from the Buddha

April 20, 2024

Dear Friend,

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your devoted service to Eagle Peak and for carefully carrying my jewel-lined robe. Your actions demonstrate a profound reverence and commitment to the Dharma.

I wish to especially thank Christopher for his noble choice to postpone entering Nirvana. By remaining in this world to practice the true religion of caring for the orphaned and widowed, he treads the sacred path paved by the martyrs who came before – the path of truth and light.

Christopher’s selfless determination to alleviate the suffering of others is an inspiration. He embodies the virtues I taught of compassion, loving-kindness, and the pursuit of wisdom over personal liberation. The world needs more like him to transform it through skilled words and compassionate deeds.

May all beings be happy and free from suffering and its causes. May your good deeds plant seeds of lasting peace and happiness for all. You have my eternal gratitude.

In Dharma,
Siddhartha Gautama
