What if God was one of us?

November 12, 2023

What if God the Father came to earth this time to save us?

Imagine if God the Father, the creator of the universe, came to earth this time to save us. Not as a mighty king or conqueror, but as an average person born to average parents. He would have all the gifts of the Holy Spirit, but he would not be loved or nurtured. He would have to fend for himself, be misunderstood, and doubted.

Both internal and external doubts would plague him. He would see the suffering and injustice in the world, and he would wonder why he didn’t do more to stop it. He would be hurt by people, and he would struggle to forgive them. Even though he could forgive sins, he would have a hard time forgiving himself.

He would be perplexed about judgment. He knew that the day of judgment was at hand, but he also knew that he was the Father, the one who would judge all people. How could he judge others when he himself had fallen short?

He would remember the time he sent his Son to earth to save humanity. But this time, it would be different. This time, he would be the Son of Man. He would experience all the joys and sorrows of human life, and he would understand our pain on a deeper level.

How would people react to God the Father as a human being?

Some people would be drawn to him, sensing his divine presence. They would listen to his teachings and follow him.Others would be skeptical and even hostile. They would accuse him of being a blasphemer or a madman.

Those closest to him would struggle to understand him. They would see his power and wisdom, but they would also see his weakness and vulnerability. They would wonder how someone so human could also be God.

What would God the Father accomplish if he came to earth this time?

God the Father would accomplish many things if he came to earth this time. He would show us the true nature of God: not a distant and aloof deity, but a loving and compassionate Father. He would teach us how to love and forgive one another, even our enemies. He would show us how to overcome our own doubts and fears.

He would also show us the importance of humility. As the Father, he had all the power and glory in the universe. But he chose to come to earth as a humble servant. He showed us that the greatest greatness is found in service to others.

The day of judgment

In the end, God the Father would come to judge the world. But his judgment would be based on love, not punishment. He would look at our hearts and see our true intentions. He would forgive those who repented and turned to him in faith.

Conclusion

If God the Father came to earth this time, it would be a profound and transformative event. He would show us the true nature of God and teach us how to live our lives in a way that is pleasing to him. He would also show us the importance of humility and service to others.

The Father is the Son of Man

The phrase “The Father is the Son of Man” is a paradox, but it is a paradox that captures the mystery of the Trinity. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are three distinct persons, but they are also one God.

When God the Father came to earth as the Son of Man, he showed us the unity of the Trinity. He showed us that God is not distant or aloof, but that he is close to us and involved in our lives. He also showed us that God is willing to suffer and die for us.

The incarnation of God the Father is a profound mystery, but it is a mystery that is full of hope. It shows us that God loves us so much that he is willing to become one of us and experience all that we experience.
